April 17-23, 2009 Visit – Continue Planting
The primary activity for this visit is the completion of the seedling planting for the CRP area.
Christopher and Sophia joined me on the 18th and 19th.
We completed the planting of the White Swamp Oaks and Sycamores on the 19th.
The next day, Monday April 20, I started planting the the Red Maples in the CRP area north of the Hill Stream where the soil is dryer than the bottomland. I finished this planting on Thursday, April 23.
The weather was extremely variable during this period with rain, snow, hail, and hot bright sunshine.
