April 26-27, 2009 Visit – Plant Weeping willows

We planted ten Weeping Willow trees along the western edge of the pond. I constructed protective planting tubes to discourage deer. We reseeded and spread straw around the pond where some erosion is occurring. The rest of this visit was spend tramping about and collecting wild flowers to bring home.

April 10-12, 2009 Visit Open Cabin, Start Planting Trees

On this visit, I prepared the cabin for this year’s visits, including checking the solar equipment, transferring the spring to the storage tank.
