October 15-18, 2004 Visit

On Friday 10/16 I met with Merrill Langel to see what could be done to repair the erosion problem caused by Huricane Ivan. It rained continuously most of Friday.
On Saturday, Merrill showed up with his excavator and we installed a new 12″ culvert at the small streambed. We decided it was too wet to re-grade the road or to repair the erosion. We will wait until spring for this.

On Saturday afternoon, the weather improved and I lugged stones from the streambed to construct a set of steps up to the deck. I will need to further improve the path, as it was rather slippery during the rain.

The weather on Sunday was great. No rain, not even any clouds!
I was able to trace the fence lines on both the north and south lines about 1200 feet back. I used plastic flagging tape to mark the lines.
On Monday, the weather returned to rain. So, I drove home.
